For as long as I can remember, my home has been filled with books.  Even though we were poor as church mice, my Mother somehow managed to surround us with Avatarbooks of every type, and I supplemented my supply from the Bookmobile when it lumbered into our neighborhood.By junior high I recognized I was a writer by nature and the quality of the text became important to me.  By university I had become enamored with great literary fiction which is characterized by superior craftsmanship and a focus on universal social issues and the human condition.
